DESCRIPTION:About the Project \nThe Kuli'ou'ou Ridge Trail is in desperate need of restoration. One of the most beautiful hiking trails in east O'ahu\, Kuli'ou'ou valley is a beautiful watershed that once boasted of native trees\, shrubs\, plants\, birds and snails. Today because of overuse and misuse\, switchbacks have been deeply cut\, killing trees\, plants and causing erosion that eventually kills coral and damages Maunalua Bay.  \nCome out to one of Aloha Tree Alliance's work days held on the third Saturday of every month and learn how to remove invasive species\, plant native plants and become a steward of the land!  \nRSVP HEREQuestions? Contact info@alohatreealliance.org

DESCRIPTION:For more information and sign-up\, please email: MyTree@treesforhonolulu.org \nJoin Diamond Head State Monument and Trees for Kaimuki to help keep the trees and other native plants at Fort Ruger Path happy and healthy. This includes mulching trees\, pulling weeds and trimming up the tree canopy.  \nThis event occurs every third Saturday of each month from 9 am to about 12 pm. \nBring shoes\, long pants\, long sleeved shirt\, sunscreen\, reusable water bottle\, a hat\, and a positive attitude.  \nTools\, gloves\, ice water and snacks will be provided.
