“Sadly, please don’t plant more of me” Formosan Koa

I’M NOT NATIVE LIKE ANOTHER GRAND TREE YOU WILL FIND IN THE FORESTS CALLED KOA.
Read more about me below. We work sooooooooo hard for you; all we ask is a little lovin’ in return.
I was brought to the Hawaiian Islands by the Sugar Planters Association to help stabilize the soil. I do love Kaimuki. I’m best in an urban setting, as I can take over mountain areas. Here in the sunny streets, I will provide shade, pretty yellow flower balls, and will help keep you cool. While I love you all, I’m weedy. It is not recommend we plant more of me in Hawai’i so when I naturally pass on (usually by age 40), plant a more appropriate tree – I thank you!
