TFHF teamed up with EnVision Kaimukī, the City and County of Honolulu’s Urban Forestry Division, Smart Trees Pacific, the National Park Service, and other partners on this new community-based initiative. The concept behind this initiative is twofold:

Develop a Sense of Community Ownership & Pride – Involve residents and business owners /employees in the planning, planting, and caring for new trees
#2
Model for Other Communities – A successful effort in a single community can then serve as a replicable and inviting model for other communities
