Rain Garden Project

3 years of planning and it has finally come to life. We planted a rain garden on the corner of 11th and Harding Avenues with our Trees for Kaimukī partners.

We couldn’t have done this with the support of City & County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services, Hawaii Community Foundation, Hapa Landscaping, Palolo Farms, Citizen Forester Program, Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu, Smart Trees Pacific, and to everyone that came out and worked hard to build this beautiful rain garden.

These native plants and trees that we all planted will not only grow beautifully but will also help absorb stormwater runoff from the municipal parking lot. Mahalo nui loa for all the support! Cannot wait to see this rain garden flourish.
