Coqui Frogs & Coconut Rhinoceros Beetles: Why They Matter to Our Kūpuna

November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the Palolo Chinese Home and the Palolo Neighborhood Board for a special Community Education Session on Coqui Frogs & Coconut Rhinoceros Beetles.

As a home that has cared for Hawai1i’s seniors for over 129 years, we understand that the health of our kupuna is closely tied to the health of our environment. Coqui frogs and coconut rhinoceros beetles may seem like small problems, but they affect quality of life in big wayswhether it’s noisy nights that disturb sleep, weakened trees that create safety hazards, or damage to the beauty of our gardens and neighborhoods. These issues impact all of us, especially our kupuna, who treasure peace, safety, and the legacy of a healthy Hawai1i for their children and grandchildren.
